They are all about as bad as each other.

Just get the evil wrap paint to put ontop of whatever you pick.

What's the purpose of the wrap paint mate? Do halfrauds sell it?

I've used this stuff to heat wrap my MX5 manifold. Been on there 3months and still white and not gone saggy... I even forgot to wet it first and it's still fine. It's quite thick, not like the crappy thin stuff everyone seems to sell!

No idea if halfords sell it.
Its paint especially for heat wrap, its evil stuff as even through a 2K paint mask I could smell it!

^^^ what he said.

You overlap by 50% of the width so you use lots.

I did see someone managed to wrap a manifold and ENTIRE exhaust system with something like 10M once.... they laid it perfectly flat with no overlap, oh there was much laughter as it fell off within days.

50m wont be far off, and if you haven't done it before you're bound to mess up a small amount. I used 10m just to do a MX5 manifold and its about half the size. I didn't wrap the downpipe.

Top tip, take your time, don't rush, and as said, wear a couple of jumpers and goggles, hat mask the lot. It gets everywhere!!

The paint stops the heat rap for absorbing oil and other things less chance of catching fire
