You need to grind a lug off the gearbox. There was a thread in mechanical not long ago. There is also a thread in the articles section which may help you out.
as above you dont cut/grind nothin goff the inlet buddy

cheers for the quick replys fellas much appreciated problem i seem to have is its resting on the steering rack unless ive put it in at theslightly wrong angle and its perched on it ill have to check it on wednsday but once again cheers people
Depends which inlet manifold you have. I fitted a dis xe in my nova from a cav, and had the problem with the lug you mention on the inlet. I had to swap one from a mk2 Astra to stop it killing my clutch cable :)

Yeah it's the bulkhead clutch cable bracket that needs directing downwards to clear. Failing that bin the injection and or cable operated bearing.

That looks waaaay too low in the bay, there are two sets of holes in the drivers chassis leg mount, you need to use the top ones (three holes, you either use middle and bottom, or middle and top iirc) looks like yours is in the bottom holes and needs moving up!
You need a mk2 astra inlet manifold without said lug ;)

It only needs mounting higher, that manifold should be fine!
