Anyone got any pictures on their harddrives/doppyflisks of White Nova's with these scoops fitted? tried searching but to no avail :( I have a spare bonnet but before i chop it up just wanted to see where on the bonnet to position it and what they look like :thumb:

You running carbs or something that will benefit from it? otherwise your just creating more drag!

Im not no but the heat that my engine gives off is unbelievable! Was more for ventilation than anything as it gets stupidley hot under there

So you really need vents to take the air out not in mate!
Unless you gonna fit it backwards! lol

I had some MK2 astra GTE vent fitted in mine but their fitted too far forward to vent the hot air.

Would recomend cool luvres ( if they still exsist been a few years now!)

sorry dont want to sound cheeky bud but Im best way down a bottle of vodka! ;)

For cool lourves you can use the metal plates of an st185 toyota celica gt4. They bolt in like the trooper vent and can be turned backwards to vent heat.

I have some spare if you want a photo.

Not sure about this. When the car is driving, theres going to be air passing above the bonnet, in through the grille and below the car. If you vent the bonnet, it would change the pressure of the air in the engine bay and maybe let cool air pass through, taking hot air with it. Although this is just the unproven theory Ive got buzzing around my head!
Also, when the car is stationary, the hot air within the engine bay will rise up and vent through the scoop, regardless of which way its facing.

If it's running excessively hot you might want to run a compression test - I found a marked reduction in temps doing the head gasket.

I'm putting a Trooper vent on my Nova when it gets painted in the next couple of weeks.

Anyway, here's 'some' pictures from my collection:

i think the scoops look ok but the vents look better for a nova .
