Was just flicking through some old pics and found this one of my first car and got me wondering what other people had as their first ride!

This was mine was a MK1 Fiesta :roll: XR2 liikalike with a 1L engine. this was driven flat out for 6 months until a garage I was working at had a SR (GTE lookalike) in part ex never looked back! lol

lol made the exact same mistake with my 2nd car luckily realised before paint though!

Getting bit gutted most people seem to have novas as their first cars while I had a ford! lol been to the dark side and came back! lol

I got given this at the age of 8 by my dad (yes you read that right i was eight) 1L with a SR kit on it, this started my obsession for Nova's off, All i did to this was wash it and then i scrapped it lol, was absoloutley immaculate but at 8 years old you do what your dad says

First propper Nova was the Nautilus blue one on the right, messed about with this when i was 13/14 untill i realised it was a rotbox, soon scrapped to make way for the white one which you all know is the Nova i still have, albeit abit different looking now

the nova for the looks but i think i would have the escort got that bit more power as it is a 1.8 and was very clean and half leather i want it back :(

The thing is with the nova it feels like your doing 120 MPH at 90 but im sure the escort is more refined if a bit boring (120MPH feels like 120!) if that makes any sense! I got a Cally (full leather and all the bells and whistles) now and you can do 120MPH in it all day long but I find its missing that thrill of not knowing when (not if but when!) its gonna burst into a ball of flames! lol lol lol

yeah thats true in the nova you do feel you are going faster then what you think you are lol in the gti it does fill the speed you are doing lol but the gti pulled really well but i do like the top end power really thats why i love my golf :) i propley being a bit dumb but what is a cally ? sounds good tho :)

Cheers lol the suspension and wheels were fine and are still on a nova round this way today! I also whipped the head off and used it on my 3rd car and nova which was a carbed sr which was one of my favourites

I do miss it in a way, was built on a horrendously strict college £30 a week budget lol. I recently bought the wheels back off it the other day after selling them on for considerately more 3 years ago. Did me proud as a 1st car but my inexperience in the snow ended up me rear ending a van at about 3 mph and it did that lol.

Yep, slid into the back of a corsa c combo van at walking pace, and hit the 'sweet spot' on my car, van was undamaged.
Due to me being at uni and needing a car in a week, it was regrettably sold on (for peanuts) and replaced with a 4 door loon :roll:

My first car was a Ford Fiesta 1.3 lx in green and rust. Sam bless his heart brought it for me from a man wearing socks and sandles. Its licence plate number ended in KOF which suited the car fantastically. It would fill the street with blue smoke when i started it and on the days it diddnt i knew it was time to put oil into it. That was our understanding. Upon the occasianal times it wouldnt start but it was always forgiven however it did take it a step too far when one night on they way home the electrics just died and i couldnt even put my hazards on. It had to go but not all sad times as thats how i came to be infected with the nova bug!

Mine was a mk1 1.2 merit, had that for a year then upgraded to a 1.3sr. Paid £320 for it, it had covered about 200 000 miles and the engine was burning oil, there were holes in the bottom of the doors but i was saving up for undercar neons and a bad boy bonnet lol

Mine was a 1.1L mk2 Fiesta, bought off the side of the road for £70 back in 2001 (but cost nearly £1200 to insure!). I slowly added XR2 parts to it and began to learn skills in DIY anarexic shoe string budget modifying! I did so many small details to it that nobody else would have noticed, but meant the world to me. I never did fix the epically rusty arhes, but I did fill it full of ICE and flashing neons. It never broke down and only cost peanuts to service. The only thing I went through lots of were the part worn balloon spec tyres (completely wrong profile for pepper pots, but I couldnt afford to change them), but then every new male driver spends there time wheel spinning!!
I sold it to fund my J reg mk2 1.4SR nova two and a half years later and realised just how expensive buying an abused car is!! lol
