Has anybody ever come across a gear cluster where the final drive pinion gearing is not held in by a circlip but appears to be glued????? in position.
Ive tried to remove it with heat and using pullers but its solidly mounted.
Does anyone know if you can remove it or am i best just giving up on it. I need the final drive off to mate up with my 4.1 diff.
The gearing is out off a 1.6 corsa sport.
Thanks for any help:thumb:

Sounds like an F15 cluster where the pinion is part of the output shaft........

It was out of a V registration 1.6 corsa sport, just my luck that its unusable to me as it has a perfect second gear ratio

Do you need a 418 cwp?

ive got a 4.18 diff in now mate i was looking at using the f15 cluster with a 4.3 diff. i currently use a 4.18 diff with a 2.14 second gear cluster at my home track and a 4.3 diff with a 2.14 at shorter tracks. i cant use the 4.3/2.14 at my home track as it`ll put to much stress on the engine. Ideally i need a 4 speed 2.21 which i could use everywhere but people want stupid money for them now

Try to find decent engineer who will machine the gear off & spline it to fit the 418 cog
