Had to move Hobbits tent as he ended up with a lake in front of his door... The big marquee tent had to halved as the water came up through one end of it, and the entrance we were using turned into a mud track. Pretty disappointing first visit, however there is always a next time, and the rumour is that it will be rescheduled for later in the year as it is the 30th anniversary. However, I don't need to state the obvious and say that is only rumour and nothing is definate yet.

EDIT: me and Liam appear to have posted at the same time haha, and by the way, it's geese :thumb:

I got there at 11:15 this morning and had to turn round and go home :cry: I've been for the last 5 years and its been hot every year so i suppose it was bound to rain one year. I only had a 75 mile drive home, got talking to some people who had come from Scotland 350 mile trip down just to turn round and do another 350 miles back :eek:

Us Hobbits are on route home now, yes it was more than a bit pants that it was cancelled but it wasn't a complete waste. Friday started well with a 5 strong, slightly playful, convoy with Paul, Liam, TeddyThom and NovaIT. I think we were all grateful for the dry weather, which lasted for a few hours, and also for the 20 person tent (even though we could only use half). We all got our free pig, and an evening of banter, conversation and laughter continued into the wee hours of the morning.

Today obviously didn't start well. We do apologise to you all for the 5am wake up call. This wasn't a decision we took lightly. We would like to thank everyone who helped erect, move or dismantle a tent under the conditions we faced this weekend we would have woken up with an inbuilt river if we hadn't moved ours last night. A few trainers died this weekend from your good deeds.

Hopefully the newbies weren't too put off by the weather and will return next year! Gutted to for those who travelled up today and weren't allowed in :(

Pleasure to help you move your tent Mrs Hobbit! :) Hopefully that astra boss kit (I assume reading the side of the boss lol) wasn't lost or damaged after I rescued it from the rain while the tent was being moved!

Take a little more than some rain to put me off, I can't wait for next time round, hopefully with my conversion done. Shame I couldn't meet with Bazil for my parts though. :(

The best bit of the drive up was when I was half asleep as Hobbit pulls up next to me clearly lining up for a drag. I hear him revving up the v6 so I had to find first quickly.

We pull into the petrol station, smoke coming out of his bay and as he is wafting his bonnet with oil dripping on the floor lollol

Feel for every one that was coming from far and wide . Last years was amazing weekend not this one tho but hopfully next year . After heavy drive now back home see you next year billing .

All in all it was a nice drive up and good laugh like always :)
I tryed keeping up with mr hobbit but 1.3 vs v6 just didn't work but gave it ago lol and the power of an m3 well I gave up on that one. Got very wet helping moving tents etc but that's all part of the fun and the great British weather . Let just hope next year is better !!! Carnt wait

For the time I/we were there it was a great time and good to finally put names to faces! The pig was a decent surprise, as was the puddle we woke up 'on' this morning.

Also, I had no chance in the 1.0 Polo keeping up with Paul in his M3 coming out of the 50mph road works lol

I would like to say thank you to everyone that organised things and hopefully it won't be the same next year with all this global warming shizzle.

Yeh a know mate tottal crap like after doing so much to nova aswell and spending loads on it . One of ma fav shows of the intire year aswell . To try to make the most of the weekend staff at Billing Aquadrome held a smaller version of the event on the Sunday of which many of you attended intent on not letting the bad weather dampen your spirits!

As a gesture of goodwill Billing Aquadrome are happy to offer all club members half price camping during the weekend 8th & 9th September. Please call our Bookings Line on 01524 781453 to make a reservation.

The Billing site have already told us they dont do refunds. But will give credit notes for the time you didn't use, that can be used for next years Billing.
