astra stering wheel onto a corsa b !!!!!!

just fitted a astra mk2 gte stering wheel onto my corsa b tonight went on ok but now its scrapping on the plastic casing behind which surrounds the ignition barrel and is hard to turn any ideas what i have to do to stop this other than just taking the plastic casing off many thanks reevie :thumb:

i'm assuming you whaled the living crap out of the corsa column to get the old wheel off, damaging the lattice crush structure....................cos all of the steering wheels from that era are interchangeable

no came off smoothly its strange because i thought it would go straight on hmmmm

was there a washer or other spacer?

nope just read up on mig and apparently the cowling/plastic casing is different where as mine is a airbag one im going to have to get a non airbag type one

i'd try a washer, if it was mine

you need a late non airbag cowling,some of the earlyer ones have the screw holes in different places and dont fit
