hi i no the qualife gear stick set up is the best for my rally build ,as funds are getting low is the astra internal set anygood any one used it cheers ?
Astra/Cav internal mechanism and rosejointed Nova linkage is a pretty nice combo. Both have guides in the Articles section on here
tbh, from what i've used the Cav shifter, i think i prefer my standard Nova one
Peester's is awesome, have a nose

On the british rally forum there is a thread where he has removed a quaif shifter and fitted a cable shifter off a vectra c. From what i have found out the quaif is alot of trouble. My boss has a quaife in his nova and on his last rally it gave him agro
Feck I want Peesters setup!

the quaife shifter only works for dog/straight cut gearboxes.. not synchromesh. Cable could be the way to go - mk4 astra's used a cable shifter..

My zlet corsa c has cable shifter and you never miss a gear feels great, were my clet nova is rose bushed and still isnt great
the mk1/2 astra straight tube type is pretty good. none of that strange linkage

hi its with a s/c box ,i just found the standard linkage jumps out of gear on bumpy stuff ,does the mk2 astra set up use any of the nova linkage?
no. it goes directly to the selector box with a different uj on the selector shaft. easy swap though, its just a roll pin

obviously finding a straight route for the selector tube is more of a challenge.
