haynes gives clearances for them hot, but not cold.

inlet 0.15mm
exhaust 0.25mm

from the front pulley

1 ex
2 in
3 in
4 ex
5 ex
6 in
7 in
8 in

they reckon to do 1,2,3 & 5
by pulling out the plugs & getting no.1 cylinder at bdc and just starting to compress.
then do 4,6,7 & 8
having turned it 360 degrees on the crank pulley...

i always use the rule of 9 on my tappet adjustments on 4 pots, but i've never bothered with working on a 1.0, i just weighed it in...lol

I had to change the head on mine years ago due to a broken valve.

I had to set them cold as they had to be set to get the engine to run. There was no rattling so I never bothered checking them when it was then hot, it's still running 6 years later without rattling.
