First of all im not sure if this is in the right section or if this has been a topic before but im sat here extremely bored so thought id ask you all. What is the most fun car you have driven or maybe even been a passenger in? Is it now your beloved nova or maybe a preivious mk1/mk2 escort or even a 205gti of sorts. Would also be good to hear what spec it was and the reasons for it being such a laugh? :thumb:

passenger - was my mates clet corsa one of the brazil conversion jobbies - i think i was scared of catastrophic failure as much as the pace of the car.
As a driver was a nissan skyline r32 gts - it just seemed to have a huge huge amount of power - i was a lot younger back then though...

My stripped out bucketed up 1.6 nova, by far not the quickest car i have driven, but put a smile on my face every time i drove it, and because it didn't owe me anything i could drive it like i stole it without worries :)

Maybe not the most fun, but the latest thing to add to my automotive experiences, was driving a strangers Ferrari 456GT V12.
Went to a wedding last Saturday and the groom was brought to the church by his Ferrari owning friend. When I turned up at the church I recognised the model of the Ferrari (mostly down to the fact I had a model of it on a shelf as a teeneger) and showed some background knowledge. He took some of us out for a blast down the A13 after the ceremony and then took a couple of kids out in it after. He pulled over and declared that I could drive it back to the reception! "Its ok, your covered, Ive got traders insurance" he said, "you havent even asked if Ive got a licence" I thought!!
Quite trusting I thought considering he'd only known me for a couple of hours!! lol

Scariest passenger ride would probably of been in a friend's tuned series 2 Escort RS turbo, lots of boost, lack of traction, questionable driving skills!!

Passenger - Pagani Huayra with their test driver many many times (have also driven it but I wouldn't class it as the 'best' lol )

the most fun motor i ever drove on the road was a 1600d mk2 astra estate. it was meant to be a works van/runner vehicle.
2 days after getting it, it was rear ended by a prat in a punto & the insurers paid us £300 more than it cost to go away, no write off etc...so the van was 'free'.... i straightened it out with a 14lb hammer & a ratchet strap round a post, and simply drove it into the ground... as hard as it could go was a fast as i drove it.. at the time scrap cars were worth £5 and less a quid per tyre, so people were fly tipping wheels & tyres all over the place, so i used to go to the council depot & pick up a set of tyres about once a month..

an honourable mention has to go to a b reg 1600 maestro that probably still holds the world record for an old sh!tter driving from newbury to the portsmouth ferry port... we'd been held up in a traffic jam & were late for the ferry, and it was certainly the most intense drive i've ever done...

and finally, my mates rwd opel ascona. it was a shed, but we fitted all sorts of manta bits to it, and it was a fine handling car, in a straight line, it would take 16v golfs up to about 90, when it started running out of gears, so we'd have to let them go & then simply blast past them at the next bends.. it cornered so well..

The Mazda 323 turbo 4x4 i've got on my driveway, so fun i've had it for 6 years, handles so well it kept up with an evo 6 on corners, it had a makinen edition kit on it, unsure whether it was authentic, but still couldn't lose me on corners when i had standard suspension.

Straight line speed is pretty insane for a car built in 1992 that cost me £900 at the time, just under 6 seconds with a passenger, to date the only thing its lost to is a 350Z which only starting gaining as i was getting towards the national speed limit, and whoever posted about the GTS, over about 3/4 mile stretch, i left one so far behind he got caught in traffic that had filtered into thier respective lanes, he managed to catch up as i had filtered into my lane to get to work and i was behind some more traffic he was filtering into the other lane and had already cut up aload of traffic, i've never seen anyone so angry at losing a race lol

Most 'fun' was probably when I was 6 going out in my dad's Morgan +8.

Driving is totally different to being a passenger imo.

Morgan +8 v8 with straight through exhausts. I don't think I went any quicker than about 50mph but the noise and lack of roof/doors/safety just made me laugh the whole time.

Driven - probably my Civic Type R, never seems to get boring downshifting while already doing 6k rpm. Just love how it revs.

Passenger - my mates old MR2 turbo, running nearly 500bhp it was phenomenally quick. Enjoyed going out in it more than my bosses new DB9!

Driving is my nova at PVS this year. Thus moment especially...

Giving a 540bhp supercharged beast such a close run was a rush.

Passenger would be in a mates 300bhp S14a, it was built to go side ways and he could hang the **** out a treat.

Edit, and Lee driving my Nova round Combe, scared the crap out of me but showed what my car can do..aand unfortunately how far away I am from driving it that quick lol

We were create a "car" (kludge) from wood boxes and toy truck wheels with my friends. There are no break, no steering system, just the slope. Lot of crash and bush bustering, but I always smile when it occurs to me but I had a hard child-ages :D

Passenger would be Gunny's VXR Nova, wow that was just incredible!

And driving my self would probably be my own Nova, I like it because people never expect an old diesel to shift :)

I'd like to add a 2nd car to my 'fave' drives as it can't go without a mention.
SRS1's old red XE with crap tyres and dire suspension at Llandow with WillF crying and laughing in the passenger seat :d happy times lol

OMS Single Seater Hillclimb car. GSXR SRAD engine running ~160bhp. Considering it only weighs 330 odd kilos, its bloody quick. Massive slicks make about 3.2-3.3 0-60 times and a very blurry world at full throttle. So much fun!

Some awesome cars you lot have had or been lucky enough to drive! Being 16 I haven't driven much or passengered in too much neither but the most fun I've had in a car is either my mates dads audi rs6 or in my nova when my mate owned it! Absolutely silly speed around some lanes that he knew like the back of his hand at night while he gave me a commentary of his driving hahaa! The awesome sound and handling of the car coupled with the fact he knew how to drive it! Made me want a nova bad! And that was the first time I ever parked my *rse in the old girl!
My best driving experience has to have been driving my nova on some private roads a few weeks back with my dad in the passengers seat! It may have been slow and finding a gear was like lucky dip but I fell inlove with the car that night! :D
