I use photoshop at work, so I should be able to do what you want. I won't be able to do it till tonight when I get home though as work won't appreciate me doing personal stuff. If I get time at lunch I'll give it a go.

Agreed, but should he keep the Vinal and grey bumpers? Would all Blue be too much?

Jim

Ben (lurk75)

keep the vynal on it, breaks it up from the wheels.

Anyone with photoshop want to do me a little favour? pleaseeee

Breeze blue with some silver in it....

keep all the vinyl and stuff

get an unpainted GSI bumper and another Ibiza splitter, was there 2 types? I prefer the one on slimjims

those wheels are awesome

wisewood

I too like it in the pale blue colour - with the vinyl on there - although i might be tempted to remove the vinyl and spray the bumpers and where the vinyl would be normally in black/dark grey so you dont have the worry of discolouration and rot under the vinyl.

Making the white/silver/black is just a case of adusting the brightness/contrast of a selected area (paintwork) to the desired level... tweaking it to get it right etc...

or thats how i would do it - no doubt someone has a better way (SlimJim )

Neil.
31-07-03, 06:14 PM
thanks jules, but i'll be colour coding it all, ive already desided this, ,

i do like that pale blue colour!

i had a go, big cr@p tho....

Errr wtf?!?!

Anyways.....
I think that the pale blue does look the best of the lot, tbh I can't see any other colour suiting the wheels as well as pale blue would.
If it was me (Which it isn't!!) I'd go for the blue (Maybe a nice pale pastel colour? Or have I been painting my house for too long!!) and like has been mentioned previously by Wisewood and others go for a Grey GSi front and rear bumper and get the vinyl removed (but leave it blue underneath), get the GSi look B pillar vinyl by either fitting some or getting it sprayed on the same colour as the bumpers.
I'll try and work something with Photoshop to give and idea, but like I said I'm not too good with it (Those pics I did are easy and anyone could do 'em!!).

Neil.
31-07-03, 06:43 PM
yeah i like that one, but prob a metalic colour, not just a pastle(WTF) colour, im not painting it with a paint brush! Just gotta find makes with colour like that, eg, honda, vauxhall, ford, vovle, merc, jags.....

Fester
31-07-03, 06:47 PM
pastel with a paintbrush? wtf!

no lol pastel colours are awesome but you dont do them with a brush...

Jules
31-07-03, 06:50 PM
Pastel refers to the paint style - pastels are light greens, pale yellows, light blues, cream, peach etc etc!!!
I know you ain't gonna paint the car literally!!!

Anyways, here's one with the black vinyl removed - not brilliant but you get the idea.
Keep grey bumpers (GSi) and door pillar vinyl (Or spray them grey) but code the door bottoms and don't fit GTE/GSi skirts!!!

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/julian.sumner/Light%20Blue%20Coded.jpg

Would look sweeeet like that - And you could use GM Breeze blue as has already been mentioned, or if you want a metallic how about GM Eurpoe blue (Astra 888 colour) or even the Zafira / Astra GSi blue (Arden blue?)

Neil.
31-07-03, 06:50 PM
lo, ok i didnt actually think about that one!

Jim
31-07-03, 06:53 PM

Neil.
31-07-03, 07:12 PM
oh i didnt actually see that picture, na im having colour coded bumpers, can ya do that jules?

Fester
31-07-03, 07:13 PM
it wont look as good with colour coded! contrast and compare constrast and compare

Jules
31-07-03, 07:17 PM
oh i didnt actually see that picture, na im having colour coded bumpers, can ya do that jules?

I don't think I can, I don't seem to be able to change the 'colour' of the bumpers (Cos they fall into the Black / White bracket - they are shades and not colours (or something)).

I also agree with Fester below

Neil.
31-07-03, 07:18 PM
well the GSi front bumper would look ok grey but not the novadose rear bumper, got smoothed in novadose sideskirts aswell.

Jules
31-07-03, 07:26 PM
Then you have the smoothed in Novadose skirts colour coded and you get the Novadose rear bumper sprayed grey to match the GSi front and B post vinyl!!! I think the Novadose rear bumper isn't too bad as it looks like a pumped up GSi one.

31-07-03, 10:03 PM
Hiya mate,

01-08-03, 01:09 AM
It does look good like that, but don't leave the vynil.

Go two tone. A light blue top half, and a dark (black-ish?) lower half, to make the wheels stand out more.

If the car's too blue all over, the wheels won't have as much of an effect. If the car's a different colour, it'll either clash, or the wheels won't even 'blend' in at all.

It all has to 'complement' each other.

Mark

I too believe that black would be a wicked colour with those wheels.

wisewood
01-08-03, 10:02 AM
according to the pics we have seen its Dan thats on the smack - if memory serves micky uses disco biscuits to brighten his day.

I reckon the car should be dark - a very very deep metallic blue.
i think BMW do a colour suitable. That way the car looks nice, and with the slightest hint of blue from the paintwork the wheels will look mint.

Jules
01-08-03, 11:43 AM

But then the grey bumpers look out of place and would probably be better off also sprayed dark blue

Jules

orange/yellow flip :D

To be honest I think that the 2 tone effect looks worse that the colour coded one (I still prefer the light blue with grey bumpers though!!)
