hello people as you may know i had gte 1990 . e16se engine
when going down the road going thru the gears giving it some beans. i've found that the car seems to be misfiring or somethink?? it like holding back in every couple of seconds
changed the dizzy cap
plugs
rota arm
oil change
water
i'm thinking of somethink along the injectors/ ive put some red x in the tank an seeing if that helps . but i really dont think it is going to

any other ideas??

Tried fuel filter? Might be fuel starvation under heavy load.:)

lol yeah had new fuel filter an air filter. taken it out for a run an can only get up to 118mph but ive still got about 3000 revs left.... just doesnt seem to want to go more. yet these bad boys would do way more then that from what i can remember. i remember a gte an gsi nova my mate had both topping out at 140 ish mph... but im not shore if the clocks was out

118 mph out 1.6 100bhp lump thats 23 years old is not bad if you want it faster put a let in it.

i have been thinking about it . but i'm being given a brand new 3k e16se engine off a close friend... read my project thread..
so im going to taking this engine out an using what bits this other engine has not got

but regarding the 118mph thing. i could be wrong if im honest. as ive only just put a set of digi's in ... and also the nova only has 41k on the clock for 23years it has not been used ..

you have a seriously screwed up idea of what a gte nova can do, if you think 118mph @3k rpm is an accurate reading..

118mph is about 6000 rpm, or 3000rpm in top is about 60mph.

i guess your clocks are out, a lot.

ive never owned a gte before...... but ive flick't the switch over on the clocks an at the same speed is does read now about 6000rpm

you can get signal pulse modifying circuits. I fitted one to hobbits V6, he got it from a blokey on mig, i think
