Hi, I am looking for an adjustable fpr for a bike body set up. There are loads to choose from with prices ranging from very cheap to very expensive! I assume the cheap ones are cheap because they're crap but please correct me if I'm wrong.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience and can recomend a reasonably priced regulator that works well, or even a really cheap one that works well if that exists!
Thanks!

Weber cosworth 2wd reg will do it, usually about £30-35 second hand.
A good budget option is the Black top regs that SBD sell too...

Hi,
I have tried several of the FSE/Sytec ones - well three to be precise, lol!.... on my rally nova. The first two were normal siler top ones and the latest is a SBD black top motorsport version with supposedly uprated internals.
I have had the same problem with them all. They regulate well at a particular pressure (3Bar in my case as that is where we mapped it on the rolling road) except that the actual pressure seems to vary each time I take the car out - one day it starts up at 2.5 bar, the next day it will be 3.4, etc. etc. I simply adjust it back to the desired 3Bar and it stays at that for the entire days rallying. Then the next day it starts out at something different again!!
I have simply got used to it now so it's part of our routine to check and adjust it at the start of each day. That is not a problem for a rally car that goes out max twice per month (I thought that maybe that is the reason for the variation??) but would be a real pain if it was a daily driver, lol!

Yeah i wouild not recommended one tbh! cossie 2wd reg is the way to go, they do not alter.
Cossie one is just a weber reg.
Avoid fse's like the plague

I fitted a FSE one to my cav GSi redtop, i didnt really notice any difference and now when you start the car it makes a hissing noise for about 5 minutes :(

OK, I'll try and find a cossie one then I reckon. I thought the FSE one might not be great as they're common as muck on ebay.
Thanks for the help.

I have a Filter King regulator on my twin40 Nova, most people with carb set ups seem to use them.
