Fan not kicking in

I noticed the other day after taking my nova for a drive and coming back that my fan doesnt seem to be kicking in, also the temp guage isnt showing a reading. What would be the first thing to try, the temp sensor?

the sensor thats plugged into your radiator, remove that and bride the 2 connections on the plug with a piece of wire

if the fan comes on, your sensor is goosed

if it dosnt come on check the fuse

The above would only show if the fan actually works. I've had a few instances where the switch was perfectly fine together with the fan but it still didn't come on.

Could also be a blockage somewhere or a faulty water pump.
