i dont know if its been asked before but i do love cav turbo rims on a nova or Mk2 astra.
I have a Mk2 astra estate X16xe and the mrs will soon have a nova SR X16XE and id like to fit 5 stud cav/cally turbo alloys on them.
Is it possible?:wtf::wtf::wtf:

Big block conversion hubs, Mk2 Cav outer CV's & GTE shafts maybe? Just a guess so prob wrong.

Have the standard hubs welded then redrilled & tapped, bit pikey tho.

Now I could and yes bound to be wrong, someone will correct me but arn't the newer merivas 5 stud, and I'm sure they will be smallblock.

Could be piissing in the wind with this lol

My mate runs mk4 Astra hubs on his mk2 Astra on the rear and straight swap cally turbo hubs on the front

Nova= meriva VXR hubs on the front with nova bearings ( cheers Kev ) and follow ben's guide in articles for the rear

possibly?
id rather not weld and redrill the hubs cos its gotta be mm perfect, and im not one for being so careful, cos if its out it'll shake worse than Michael J fox and Muhammed Ali in the same bed

If I remember correctly only the 1.7CDTI and VXR merivas have the required hub

And myself and Iain are pushing to sort this Astra to get to billing, it was built 11 years ago but has been off the road for 8 of those years,

as far as im aware you have to lathe down an astra big block hub to fit nova bearings to fit big block conversion shafts to a nova to fit 1.8 and abouve engines, (exept 18XE1)

I ment is your small block Astra bearing ID the same as a nova one for the meriva hub?

I knew I'd read something PNG on the lines of this before, here Joffs thread on his wife's Meriva... he mentions the 5 studs on the X14XEP, as said though I've no ideas really on this Daz... you may have to machine them to fit the bearings. Right, looking at EPC the Meriva 5 stud hubs use the same wheel bearing as a big block hub but the outer CV is the same as a smallblock corsa so this could work....

Meriva 5 stud hub machined down to fit nova bearing with Meriva outer CV and Nova shafts

Or, get the hub carrier mached to fit a Golf Synchro wheel bearing then fit the Meriva hub & outer CV

Southie

Or sack it off and stay 4 stud lol

Check VXR meriva hubs, they fit nova bearings, Kev fitted them in his nova TD it's in Benns how to guide aswell, no machining required

The Meriva bearing part number(All inc VXR) is the same as Cav/Cally/Astra big block so surely the meriva hub OD will be larger

Some of the new corsas are 5 stud as well and the hubs look very similar, been meaning to bug the parts department at work about bearing sizing for some time now
