Havent updated in a while as been busy with work and car shows,

but here you go,

1st off i had a big fuel leak and replaced my fuel filler neck and all the tank hoses(sorry no pics)

i been having a running problem where it kept cutting out and finally fixed it,
it was a mix of the -
*carb adaptor plate coming loose
*k&n over oiled my me (whoops
*and dizzy cap and rotor arm being knacked(looking at them i was suprised it was running atall lol)

so while i was sorting above problems out i treated to a new set of gm plugs and magnacore leads

I loctited the bolts in this time so shouldnt have the problem again, mum helped me top by making me some new gaskets out of a cereal box lol

hello I did few things to my car today,
fitted 60mm rear springs to level the car out and fitted 2 new correct size tyres to my back wheels that are now on the front so it looks a lot more better now.

and i also fitted press metal plates to which look a lot better

on the way to buying food and drink for pvs i fort i would go the back way to dover and found this nice empty bit of road to take some pics (car is covered in dust and looks like ive been rallying a bit)and pics where took with phone so not best

Had the nova hunter 4 wheel aligned today at my dads work as it was pulling to left and i could get it right with normal laser gauges

ive hat to repair a tiny bit of the plough and ive lost the textured part where ive repair has any one got any tips on how to get it back before i paint the front bumper and plough, and the vauxhall badge how do people paint the silver back on

If you put Vaseline on the parts you don't want silver on the badge the paint won't stick to it so you can clean it off after

best way to paint the silver on the badge is just to put the paint on paper and pres the badge on it saves f***ing about.

as for the texture you could you texture areosol before you paint it?

Yeah you can buy textured bumper paint, I used it on my 'plough the Thursday before retrorides and then painted it the colour I wanted.

Sorry I can't tell you where to buy it as I went to the Ex brother in laws body shop and borrowed a can lol.

right big update time,

as a lot of people know ive been having problems with oil leaks with engine due to knackered rings and the bottom end started to rattle a bit from cold.
so i was uming and aring what to do and this came up for sale.

Ordered some nice new roose motorsport hoses

Another vote here against the GSM valance, personally i dont like the open front, works well if your having an intercooler etc, but oem plough imo.

Will look loads better with the bay done, was wandering why you didn't have the bay on display, guess you weren't happy with it.?

Right I got the 1400 in and found that it's was more knackered than my 1300 so decided to strip the 1300 to fix and put back in, the big ends had slightly picked up and the rings were a tad wore so I have sent the crank off to phillip

so I started on the pistons

So ive got brand new set of new old stock rings to stick on them,

tomorrow is block cleaning time and if I have time strip head re carbon that re seat the values replace value stem oil seals then re assemble

I've my old set of hella indicators and headlights from my old mk1 (1987 D reg) in fantastic condition if interested... Only downfall is they're etched with my old reg :(

Just read the whole project after seeing the link in your ebay advert. cracking little car that is mate. Shame to sell IMO but somebody will get them selfs a really nice sorted nova. + what did u paint your bumpers with? Is it upol mid grey like you did the rear bumper earlier on in the thread or something else? I want to do mine soon, everybody seems to rate the upol mid grey, but I'd like to spray it from the spray gun rather than using an aerosol.
