20ne knackered lingage, what to replace?

Hi lads, i only got my nova about a week ago, bought it off a mate in the knowledge the gear linkage needed replacing. Well tonight i had a look after work and this is what i found.

You maybe able to see on the square part (is this the selector rod going into the box?) hes bodged it with some metal plates and a cable tie to obviously take up the slack from the knackered bushes. Well im slightly confused as to what part to replace as you can see the selector rod has been welded and im told the linkage is a mk2 astra gte item. Ive looked at the rest of the linkage and it all seems to be in working order apart from the obvious play mentioned. So my question is, what parts do i need/order? as im slightly confused with this being abit of a bodge job! as ive got a mix of parts lol

wtf you seem to have mutanised linkage there!!just get a another linkage and go from there

You're telling me mate! no idea what parts im dealing with here. As i said, its got a c20ne and f20 box. What linkage do other people run and what should i get my hands on? cheers for the reply :)

People run the standard Nova linkage, even with the F20 gearbox. Source one of those and see how you get on with that one.
