seriously, mr boy slim is the most likely to have the correct dimension info.
Doesn't Haynes have min and max thickness? Or is it just min?
He does have a measurement. Iv forgotten it.
Haynes does have it as I've seen it before but now can't find it
steve work it out that my head has had 0.15mm taken off over its life which left me with
135.45 from top off head face to gasket face
with my pistons it leaves me with a static ratio of 13.1 which aint good
not my pic (bloke on mig uses same pistons)

what would be my next step to do
You looking to lower the CR? Thicker headgasket (Cometic), machine the pistons or get a new head?
ya lower 13.1 is way to high for a xe lol
pistons are brand new dont fancy machining them
i dout these many heads out there whch aint been skimmed
what size gasket would be needed to make up for whats been skimmed off 0.15
Try tinkering with this calculator: http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html
I used a thicker MLS Cometic gasket to lower the compression on mine but they're about £100.
kool will check it late iain, as im on the i fail atm lol
i havea head thats never been skimmed, its currently being p&p'd
