So I've owned the cally now for about 7 years but I really miss the fun and handling of my nova! I've still got my other nova at my lockup minus engine and box! :( Its gonna take a good couple of hundred quid to get it going again then T&T (money i don't really have). Even when I get it going its not really something I could use everyday!

The plan was to sell the cally and buy a tidy GTE or SR!

Was wondering what you guys thought if it was something I would later regret or not!

Cheers for any help to sway my decision either way!:thumb:

Is the sale of that car going to fund a decent Nova GTE or SR? if funds are tight perhaps you should just keep it if theres nothing wrong with the car.

Thats what I wasnt sure about I know the nova would come with its own problems (they all do!) lol but I just really miss the fun of the nova!

I keep getting tempted to replace my daily with another Nova, as I miss driving them, due to mine being still in bits. But I just know I'd end up spending loads on a second Nova, then having to worry about using it as a daily with thieves, rust inviting winter etc. Sometimes its better to just put up with a run around you don't 100% love, because that gives incentive to finish and then actually use the Nova.

Dont get me wrong I love my cally "nearly" as much as the nova just think Im getting bored with it. I dont even use it as my daily really I have a company van for that! lol The cally only gets used at the weekends (shopping and running my woman too and from work ON COUNTRY ROADS!) lol

I run a 1.0 Nova for everyday use and them muck about with the track one at weekends. All on a very tight budget but, I have had the 1.0 for years and it is well rust proofed and maintained by me so it is fairly relaible (I bet it packs up tomorrow now).

Is north East England or uk?

England mate! :thumb:

Going off what everyones saying it looks like I should be keeping the cally and get the bodywork touched up and run it till my financial situation improves! :)

The odd good Nova does turn up, with a Nova for fun you would probably appreciate the Callibras qualities more.

I ran my mini cooper fopr 9 months as my everyday car as it had lain for years and I had to get it back on the road, all the short comings of it irritated me. I then put the Nova back as my everyday car and used the Mini for the remaining 3 months as a weekend fun car, it was brilliant.

One car practical and economical the other fun. I then appreciated the mini cooper for it's qualities rather than shortcomings.
