Having gone through 6 fuel pumps surely something is wrong or im very very inlucky.
Tigra 1.4 16v
Corsa 1.6 16v
I have used an astra one for the last week and it runs perfect other than the very lour noise it makes so today i decided to change it to a corsa sport fuel pump.
It lasted 5 minutes and died down the street.
Would it be best getting one from a vectra / calibra 2.0
I got the astra one from a 2.0 ecotech, if it wasnt from the noise i would keep using it.
How have you got it mounted? Or is it in tank?

It's intank pump and its running via a relay to ignition live, one of the pumps is perfect and has run for a while but is very loud. Although the others have failed this one hasn't

Ye direct to battery earth. The problem is that they just sieze solid I can free them off if I take it out the tank and bang it on the floor and hook it up to a battery and shock it free. I'm thinking they are to small for what I need as I haven't tried anything above a 1.4 fuel pump, the astra one us fine altho noisey which was from a 2.0
have you made sure the inlet pipe is cut to the right length to fit the nova tank, using the spi pump as a guide? people have squashed the ends before & had big trouble
and also, have you got the tank clean & is there enough fuel?

Tank is full with 30ltr of fuel, I measured the pumps I used and the full unit is 8 inches and everytime I trim them I make sure its the same size as the original. It's weird that one of the pumps is fine but is just noisey, surely I can't have been very unlucky and getting knackered pumps

why isnt it earthed to the chassis?
I had the same problem with my van - it was down to the fuel being contaminated - went through three pumps in two days.
