I thought that was the first turbo 16v Dave? Which was actually a turbo'd XE rather than an LET

oh yeah that is right rich oh well we know the frist turbo one then i still got the vauxhall mag some were that its in might have to find it lol

Carquip were one of the first to do it they did it long before courteny, asw used to build a few too, but it's always been a popular conversion so god knows who did the first

This is how I got into Novas. A lad I knew when I was a boy got his converted. It was a blue B reg poverty spec thing and the Astra valvers had just come out. His engine was out of a freshly crashed GTE.

He took me for a spin after school and when I got out and wiped the tears and snot off my face I promised myself there and then I'd have one! lol. It was a real expensive bit of kit back then and very cutting edge. I'm pretty sure it was a Carquip conversion but can't be sure.

That was years and years ago my mum had just bought an E reg Nova club so what year was that? 1988?
