hi people im new to this, so im gona try my best to give you the spec and details of my nova....:)

the plan was for me todo a 5door nova with a 1.6 8 valve gsi engine. got down to gettin the shell in the spray booth, when the sprayer let me down.. i ended up scraping the lot as i was messed about and was costing me alot of money.

anyway i thought i start fresh and buy another nova. it started back in 2005 when i brought the car of an old lady, only reson of her getting rid of it was because her hasband passed away and was sitting in the garage with a blown head gasket. brought the for £400 with not a single bit of rust, plan was to keep it as it was and do couple mods. i also had a redtop sitting in the garage. so i thought the best thing was to get the engine bay striped, welded and strenthed.

plan was to do all the work under the bonnet, put the redtop in and leave the body as it was. after talking to my brother, i decided to get the hole car resprayed the same colour. glad i did as my mate done an amazing job.

anyway got the car back to mine, and left it in the garage fot 6months untouched as i had other things on mind and didnt have the time to start building it.
as time went on i thought i better crack on and stat the build, so i went out spent more money buying GM front and rear bumpers, new front grill and head lights. started of on evening with the old man and put the redtop in along with all the other accessorise to go with it.

I know what colour mine is (tis in my Sig) but I get ripped by Lee cause he says its green. Clearly the guy naming the vauxhall paints was colour blind as this is another very greeny blue.

after getting the mot, was on my way home only to get stop by the police. got a section 59 for driving from 1st to second gear!!! they said i was going fast and the exhaust was to loud!

after having the car on the road for couple years i got bord of the power and went down the route of putting the c20let in, so i drove to liverpool i brought the lump, loom gearbox from CS autos. pretty much everything to get it in there and up and running.

4months down the line getting the engine in over the weekends all was going good. Had the car up and running. Everything was goin smooth, untill the second day of driving it the bottom end started to nock. :( so i had 2 choces get another let or rebuild the one i had. so the fun begins. i went down the route of rebuilding the one i had. so the engine came back out

striped the engine down to find out the let block was nackered the bores were F***ked and the crank was nackered, as i still had the redtop sitting about i striped that down used the crank and block.

got it rebored to 86.5, stimmed and drilled and tap for the turbo oil return.

got the manifold and turbo bolted up and done a trial fit on the spare block, only to find out it didnt fit as the turbo was hitting the block. so i went and brought a 200sx manifold and got the exhaust flange welded.

after getting the engine back into the car i run it in on the standard turbo before i put the garrett on,
when it was ready to get the new turbo on i got more work done to the car.
had ther inside all sheet plated and strenthed. thought i go for somthing different and get the hole thing smoothed as i havnt seen this done, i might be wrong tho maybe someone has done it!!

great work! is that a tx autosport rad? does it fit ok and is there much room between the rad and turbo?

Yer its fine, every all clears i tryed to keep everything discreet so the intercooler didnt show as much. Theres 5mm clearance between the turbo and fan. :)
