i think i need to have the car back in front of me to make a real decission, as everytime i see it i change my mine lol was ment to be a gte or early sr rep, but the more i looked at it i just wanted to keep it on small bumpers
Black bay looks very "I'm to pikey to get it resprayed with the rest of the car so I'm spending £20 at Halfords with rattle cans"
Gunmetal grey looks cool if its a purposeful bay, like the touring cars etc.

Whit cars need white bays, otherwise it looks tosh, looks like you've covered up something and spent 20p doing so.

i think it would look good if say the car was yellow then have the bay gloss black like that sort of thing .
i have a royal blue colour on the exterior but in the engine bay its China blue so has alot of sealent over the top which im slowly stripping lol

I have a miami blue body with matt black alloys and skirts, but a red engine bay (i know id get summat said)
But it came like that when I got it, its not purposly done. Behind dash is red and under carpets so is half hearted respray
I think a different coloured bay is ok, in my opinion so long as its not a major mismatch of colour (like mine)
I like the idea myself but my blue is too vibrant I think to put a different colour in there. What do you guys think ??

the more i think about it i dont think im going to do it, i think im going to make ther engine bay look better by doing a wire tuck and smoothing the bay then giving the paint work a high gloss finish

Body colour and smoothed engine bay is the way to go i think(for what its worth!). Mate done it in his mag featured Zetec fiesta( i know!) and it looked the nuts.:)

The colours used need to contrast & it helps if you also tie in the theme by coding your wheels &/or interior fabric too.

Done to good effect on this Integra. Black in the bay is a definate no as it isnt vibrant enough on the complex shapes & shadows under the bonnet. Just my opinion.
