been reading up bits and pieces about these for a few days now and so far have found no solid info, im running x14xe at the moment and its getting a little "everyday" so looking for a bit more go, anyone with any real general knowlage about the 2 apart from they are basically the same engine, ie are the ports bigger on the x16 or would the x16 or the x18 heads bolt to the x14 block (i imagine x16 no prob.... but the x18?) any gen on this ??:thumb::thumb:

Not many on here will be able to help as it isnt a C20XE lol

I dont have a clue TBH. I know the X18XE1 in my Vectra seems slow as fook though!

1800 head wont fit 1400/1600 block.
X14 and X16xe heads are the same.

And tbh 120hp will seem slow in a barge like Vectra!

Its slow yes, but also not revvy either. Might be different in a lighter car with some tweaking here and there though...

C16xe are different ports yes, X16xe has a different head to C16xe.

X16XEL head is best of all (Vec, mk3 astra)

but it says the smaller engine not the x16xe c16xe diff :/
