small block heads

hello thinking of replacing the 1.2 for ovius reasons maby3 a 1.4? had fun with them few years ago. now i hear that a 1400 will be better with the 1.2 head but a mate of mane reasons i need a 1300 head as the valves are bigger in them?? is this true or would the 1.2 be ample. if any help i would like 32/34 carb, cam, four branch manifold would the 1.2 head restrict any thing?

the 1200 carb & 1300 carb heads are to all intents & purposes identical.
the valves are the same for the 1.2, 1.3,1.4 carb & spi heads... the mpi heads have bigger valves, but its all down to inlet port shapes & matching the manifolds.
the 1.2 carb & 1.3 heads have 'cathedral ports, as in they are shapes like cathedral windows.
the mpi heads(1.4 sri, 1.6 gte/gsi) are round
the others are square.
all exhaust ports are round.
