fuel pump running constantly

Ive put a let into my nova problem is my fuel pump is coming on with just the battery connected which aint good what could be causing this never happened before on my 2ltr 8v engine ?????:mad:

pump relay? or a short somewhere

right so a dodgy relay is keeping the circuit open? Is there any way of telling if its knackered? cheers
