gear linkage

hi there im new to this site been a big fan of the novas for a while but never had one the thing is a friend has got one with a bigger engine fitted with 5 speed box he can only get the 4 gears and reverse is there a 5 speed linkage for a nova

If he's put a 5 speed box into a original 4 speed then a lug under the gear stick gator needs chopped off to get 5th

If it's got a 5 speed box fitted to a car which has been 4 speed you will need to trim the lug off the base of the gearstick to allow it to push all the way over to the right to let it engage 5th gear.

you also need to make sure your using a 5 speed turret that bolts to the top of the gearbox

yeah just ignore that, also 4 speed turrets have a 5 speed diagram as well which can be confusing 5 speed boxes do have the 5 speed layout too
