I have an f20 5 speed box with a quaife synchro gearkit. had some problems with crunching and stiff gear change.
A friend who runs the car has taken the box apart and we bought a donor box from a calibra to use the synchros, forks etc.
He called me today and said the the borg rings etc were totally the different sizes between the two boxes.
They both have f20 on the outer casings, but I think the internals are interchangeable between f16, f18 and f20 (think)
I have checked on the vauxhall schematic drawings and they show the same part numbers for the synchro s in all the boxes.
Has anyone come across this before, or got any ideas.
