Sorry to go on about drive shafts again, but if i take out my 1.2 engine and put a 1.6 in, will i be able to use my 1.2 drive shafts or will i have to use the 1.6 drive shafts? Cheers

Why do i need to use the GTE drive shafts? Whats the difference between the 1.2 drive shafts and the 1.6 drive shafts?

none

vaux sell 1.0-1.6 shafts as the same part so that suggests they are interchangeable

use the 1.0 ones... i'm using 1.0 ones on in my 1.4... if the gte ones are 22 teethed inners (on the shaft not the cv) then sell them

vaux sell 1.0-1.6 shafts as the same part so that suggests they are interchangeable

They also list the 8v and 16v conrods as the same and they are manufactured completely different :!:

its RIGHT

just doesnt mean tahts what came from the factory

if u went into vaux and baught a set of shafts for a 1.0 and a set for a 1.6 you'd be given the same part

same with the conrods - NOW u'd be given the same part - might not have been that way originally

What about on 4 speed and 5 speed gear boxes? Do they not use different drive shafts?
