help sri 4 speed

i have just dropped an sri engine into my nova and can only find 4 gears did they do an f10 4 speed box will it be ok if i leave it there or should i change it cheers all liam .

Yes they did do an F10 4 speed, unusual to find one fitted to a SRI, are you sure you gave set it up properly?
Won't hurt to leave it on but 5-speeds have all the benefits.

when u swapped engine did u also swap ur old gearbox?

pull up the gear gator.... i bet the stick is hitting the side before hitting 5th... to prove a point push down on the stick and try 5th

as ste says, wen me and stu (stugsi) put his gear linkage back together, he found he had to push it down and put into fifht, similar to if you wanted to put it in reverse.

the clever boyo i am i marked mine with a dot on each part of linkage with centre punch before i tuk it apart :twisted:

the gear box has a 5 speed diagram on it so it must be what else could it be if stes advise fails can the linkage be out in the gear box

Just because it has a five speed diagram does not make it a five speed, the f10 outer casing is the same 4 or 5 speed. -
