There will be a competition run when i get to 10k but not as Chris suggests - gonna be 10 multiple choice questions and all correct answers will be selected from at random by a simple little database driven php script i have made for just such an occasion.

Anyone who knows anything about php and databases will know that the RAND() function is 100% random - so no cheating on my part.

It's simple - you answer the questions right and you will have a chance of winning whatever it is that i choose to give away from the pages of the novaload online catalogue.

Actually I think that the Ran() function derives the "random" figure by using the system clock, which of course isn't random. However saying that it would be VERY VERY hard to fix the Ran() function as the function would have to be executed at an exact time

For the prize, you should give away your post count, and have it reset to zero. :lol:

It wouyld be better if there was no post count at all, then each persons advice would be taken at it's own merit, and not judged by how many posts that person has made, and it would also stop A LOT of the shit that5 people posts just to get their numbers up.

I have actually contemplated signing up for a new account and starting from scratch, leaving the 10000 posts of wisewood alone...

but i figure its a waste of time really - just gives people a static target to aim for - where as if i keep posting on this ID, people see it getting higher and higher and wont catch up and surely eventually will get bored.

I am trying to police the bull shit posts as much as possible - but with more and more new members everday this is getting quite difficult these days.
