Iknow its a discontinued part...
But just wanted to ask once more if anone has this part to hold the gear linkage
arm down in the engine bay. The new ones are to fat :( so need to find one.

what do you mean, they are too fat??? surely they are a press fit, and thus are very tight. use some washing up liquid as a lubricant & a bench vice to squeeze it into place
Is it the bush for the main pivot?

where the linkage bolts to the gearstick rod, it sits on that ball joint at the end of the flat part of the linkage, made out of plastic so old ones will probably break before they slot into place through ageing although a vice or press would be needed, using shock to get it placed would just result in bits of broken plastic

That is not the pivot bush in the centre of the bar it is the ball joint that joins the bar to the UJ that goes into the selector turret

You could make 5 rose jointed linkages for the price of a GM one

Yep its that plastic bit i need and it will break in2 pieces :( anyone no or have one lying around on a gearbox. or how could i replace it with something else?

Yes its not on alot of diagrames :( but is a common break. i dont know whats the best way to fix it?

buy a rose joint and just replace that part
