hi all,
im after a lightened flywheel for my E16SE. is there a fly wheel available off another engine i can use or would i have to get my standard one lightened?

get yours lightened.. but remember, you need to remove the metal from as far out as possible, as thats where lightening will have the most effect, simply skimming the friction surface is not a gain... the e16se flywheel is not particularly heavy to start off with & for a daily driver, you run the risk of damage by thinning the ring gear, or removing too much metal supporting it.

do some before, during & after pics, & put them up as a how to article

you could add weights as well before & after.. borrow the scales.

do the e16se run the same flywheel as a c12nz? the 1.2 8v engine

no. the e16se runs a larger diameter one. the starter is set further out, & a 1.2 ring gear won't connect.
