Everyone always wants to know if the ones we have are the 22 spline shafts, did they do any others on a GTE/GSi ???

yup, they were randomly fitted to gte/gsi's. sometimes they even fitted different on each side of the same car.

however i think people get confused as to which splines they are refering to.

there are splines on the inner shaft into the box, always the sme on novas unles u have big block gearbox. then thees the outter cv splines into the hub, which are diff on sri/gte/gsi. what haynes referes to when it says about diferent numberof splines on the gte etc is the splines going from the shaft itself onto the cv. which would make no diff unless they were gonna fit diferent outter cvs

the outer cvs? into the hub (flange)? nahh all the flanges are the same

was gonna say that myself

the driveshafts as complete units are interchangeable throughout the range

its just the actual shaft to CV splines that differ between the saginaw and vaux shafts
