Can some one tell me who the hell makes a de-cat for a nova Sri 92????
could i just fit a pipe from a gsi (pre-cat)??????

and what sort of difference does an fse booost valve make?
does it give more bhp or just better acceleration?

Cheers

just use a system+backbox off a pre-cat GSI, or i belive courtney sport do the de-cat pipes. it will feel much faster if you get rid of ya cat. give it plenty of revs then :D

dont bother with a boost valve trust me ;)

why no boost valve?

if the engine wants more fuel he ecu will give it more fuel!!!

all the fse valve does to make it feel qucker is hold the pressure higher so when u put your foot down the initial feeling is that its quicker. however its been proved many times on a rolling road that you dont gain any bhp.

also it makes the engine use more petrol by running richer

Boost Valve works on a GSi though! Gave me 8BHP when I had mine set up on the rolling road. And my Mates Corsa Sport (1.4 16V) Got 6BHP when his was set up. You can't really feel the extra power but you do feel the throttle response.

So could i fit a gsi full exhaust system cos there are loads for the gsi but not much for the sri

the sri manifold+downpipe is the same except the sri has a lambda prob hole. (later gsis had this aswell)

and do as you wish about the boost valve. neil seems to think they help

a lamba what?

something the ecu uses to control the fuel mixture

a lambda measures the air/fuel ratio in your exhaust gasses. only found on later novas with injection
