Hi all, so i took this off the Nova, i thought the holes had cut through the bottom arm but when i unbolted it everything was tight and it appears that its cracked along the bottom arm and sheared off, just wondering what would have caused this? the only explanation i can think of is the tie bar could have been bent?

Don't mind the welding i had to do emergency road side repairs to get the car towablelol

Classic fatigue crack, could have been caused by impact damage, badly fitted ball joint unit(loose maybe)

Fit for the bin now, please DON'T repair it

Its not being repaired, the cars at work and i cut through the bottom arms on my dinner with a grinder so i could bring the whole hub home and cut the welds off, plus i'll be after a swap for an Astravan when its fixed

Its not bounced up amy kerbs while i've owned it but i do remember a point when the bottom ball joint was loose after i built it but that was around 6 months ago

age, rust, fatigue, general wear & tear....its no surprise considering its age...
