nowt like a bit of ska! to get things happening imo!
with me its early 70's stuff, slade, hawkwind, alice cooper etc...i find it just fits the workshop atmosphere for me...
if classical floats your boat, then its fine by me
Nice seriously music is the key boys an girl. Gets me in the dancing mood big time. Building a car is like music . Each beat your doing somethink . Music as a say is the key

i am proud to have heard ed when he went truly mental live on air, when a neighbour had rung in to say the council in brownhills had evicted a woman & her 35 dogs from a maisonette & there was a cat still inside when they boarded it up....
he was incandescent with rage, and had his team of assistants ringing every media outlet in the land to fill the street with camera crews & if the cat wasn't rescued immediately, he was on his way to personally kick the door in.....
he also sorted me out with a few requests over the years..
Bit of Capital FM for me :)

Ill agree on that big time
'80's/90's hip hop for me
ite like a lot of the later punk and new wave stuff and classical but when workign on the car I often end up with so much rage due to frustration I usulaly swith the radio (2 or absolute a sing of age) off.
Saw excerpts from the jubilee stuff, the veterans definately rule in quality and good for Grace Jones, come as you want to, do as you want but she can still sing and at 60 odd is still terrifying!

A bit of Neneh Cherry for some reason gets me wanting to work on the car. It's probably cos I remember it being on the radio when my mum had a new Nova SR back in the day.
i like drum and bass when im smashing and weighing novas in, makes me smash them up faster

Bit of Capital FM for me :)
The TV advert makes me want to kick Rihanna the bell end..."Capital FM rocks!!"
:wtf: err no it doesnt, they won't play rock music because they're scared people will actually like it and stop listening to the other bollocks. No grown man should EVER be listening to Rihanna/JLS/Justin Bieber etc...
On that note I listen to anything from classic rock to thrash metal
But I do like a bit of classical now and again lol can't beat a bit of Moonlight Sonata
