well that's a shock, to see an escort mk3 without an engine......my mrs had 2 & they both needed replacement engines.....

when i built it i bought the bottom end converted to zvh just done i bolted my head on and thought that was that,
2000 mile later it span a big end shell,
stripped it down on drive ie sump off to inspect it and the shells, the original shells refitted into it which were in very poor condition

so now ive had a 2.0 block bored and adapted to turbo,c20xe pistons mahle 86p's,acl race bearings,arp conrod bolts,
shimming oilpump, new ap paddle clutch and a longer ratio gearbox

should be fun and aiming for 300bhp but think i will only manage around 270 i reckon but only time will tell

can they be made to handle with 300hp??? i thought the suspension was typical ford of the era, and thus not very good at coping with anything more than the factory power.

fully polybushed with koni adjustables with s1 spec front adjustable arb setup,i will be getting adjustable rear arms and adjustable front arms aswell so by the time ive spent this much it wants to handle lol

the block is at the machinists now its bored and the pistons are on the rods,
got my new gearbox and clutch just waiting for some acl race bearings,headgasket,arp rod bolts and a oil pump then back together lol

not a lot really i am excited to see how it drives with a longer ratio box and a clutch capable of the power and a engine capable of more than 15psi lol
