Getting to the point of rebuilding my XE. It is just going to be a standard engine as I will be fitting a LET in the future so just cleaning it all up and refreshing the engine.
So I have a coscast head and when I removed it there was a slight leak on the headgasket between the middle 2 cylinders. I have always been of the view that if you take a head off you get a light skim to be sure. However looking on the internet there seems to be conflicting opinion that on a XE it can do more harm than good.
So what is the view on here, skim or not? Plus can I be lazy and leave the valve in as they are not flush with the face of the head lol
