i have asked about on some corsa web pages if nova /corsa b springs fit on a corsa c. all i kept getting of the bunch of un mechanically minded spice boys saying corsa c springs are for corsa c's and novas are for novas and so on. yes i under stand the lbs wood be wrong but all i wanted to no if push came to shove will they fit. well the answer is yes take your nova standard or lowering spring turn it up side down small end to the top big end to the bottom and it fits.

i also asked were can i buy bottom ball joints for cheep and not nasty ones off ebay.

there response was well how you going to get the old ball joints off there riveted on and the kit a waist of time there is parts in there that don't even go any were let alown belong on a corsa c (he means the nuts and bolts as standards are riveted on).

me: grind the top of the heads off and punch the rest out and every think seams to be there in the pics.

them: punch them out that will hurt lol how you going to fix them back on.

me: really with nuts and bolts provided in the kit.

them: or that what there for i did wonder lol.

so if i was you i wood keep away from there page and ask some were els some really don't have a clue. there will be some good peeps on there some were that no what there on about but i am yet to fined them rant over.

I'd tend to ask on here for most cars tbh.

I found Corsa-C.co.uk to be very unhelpful too lol all young kids that have no mechanical knowledge, just what colour gearknob is in fashion this week...try Migweb if PNG can't help, which 9 times out of 10 it does no matter what car :thumb:

Corsa c springs are a lot longer than nova springs which would fit but if I remember correctly the tyres catch on the bodywork - maybe standard height nova springs might be ok

my bro is running 60mm front nova springs and 100mm rear nova springs on his corsa c as said fronts need turning upside down he also has 16inch soft stars fitted and the car doesnt scrub but it is a hard ride

didn't you know, you aren't allowed to actually mend anything on a corsa c????

you are meant to pay some pikey £4k to strip & skip it lol lol

john (on here) got a ban from corsa c cos he simply asked what size rims came as std on them.....then when some idiot asked what car was he asking about, and john pointed out it was the corsa c website....

Iv just got my gf a corsa 1.7 CDTi. Tried the springs upside down and it seems dodgy to me. By the time you have tigtened the top mount up the springs seem to banana a little.

This is what I did to fit them the right way round. I made my own top mount from the corsa C one and a Nova top mount.

All built up:

Sat like this with 60mm Nova springs all round:

Hope that helps.

lolz, Shame there isn't a good corsa c site tbh. A lad i know has been donated a 5 door c and wants to put a z-let in it. Anyone know of any good z-let/leh corsa c builds? specifically the wiring?

joff was saying that the wiring is proving to be the hard bit on his meriva build....

personally, i reckon its down to reverse engineering to get the wiring right, as in labelling & stripping the astra turbo loom.

it worked for me on my e16se, that i did before the official loom wiring diagram was published.

i went for a quick google & found this <click> (http://www.corsa-c.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?144945-How-to-do-a-Z20Let-Conversion-*Guide*/page3)

i was doing ok until i realised the main techy people were sloth & <i think> the lad who stripped & skipped it...

i then found this linky for vx220 turbo info... <click> (http://www.vx220.org/TIS/wiring%20diagrams/engine%20system/motronic/circuit%20diagram/index.html) it might yield a few clues.

We made a list and took pictures of all the 74 (iirc) connections and locations of all the plugs in the turbo loom from the astra gsi we took my mates z20let out of, was so long winded but well worth it, as it was simply plug and play from there.

2 hours spent doing that at the start of the job are worth it though.

No one will tell you how to wire it up for free, but i can get hold of wiring guides for £50

i've found enough wiring diagrams for the zlet on the net. & corsa diagrams are pretty common. gm always use the same wiring colours..with access to the donor car & the recipient, it should be a doddle tbh.

i was thinking of doing a zlet c , as i have my mums 1.0 sat here doin nothing , looked into it all and as said people dont want to say which wire you have to swap around in the ecu plug

you can either use the 1.0 corsa ecu , and flash the zlet map on it , (same ecu) or some people fit the astra ecu and transponder etc , just need to swap a few ecu wires around ,

i might even pay fot the diagrams and then post them for free everywhere haha
