Had the xe running up to temperature today, seems fairly smooth through the rev range but if you blip the throttle as it comes back down the revs it misfires.

XE on standard management and standard inlet except for pooer cap and blue injectors.

I'm guessing it's an air leak but maybe could do with plugs and a rotor arm possibly.

Any other ideas?

Whats it idle like?? Speed? Rough?

If its an early dizzy engine then it should be on cream injectors, later blues are mapped on a standard xe at a different fuel pressure than creams on an early engine.

you sure its misfire and not just burning the fuel on overrun?

Mine does that mate, think its down to the cone filter sucking too much air when you blip it, it you 'rev match - downshift' as Tommy calls it, it pops and misses, i dont do it and rev it gently when putting the power back on and its fine, youve been in mine so you know its running bang on lol

The afm is metering all air coming in through the filter though, so that shouldnt be happening.
Mine doesnt do it...
