1.3 sr cutting Out!!!!! Help?

It was running for some time whilst it was being mot'd, fine.
Driving home, cut out, started it back up, cut out, and it runs lumpy when it does nearly start, then it cuts out, what could it be?

If it runs fine when cold but cuts out when hot the auto choke couldn't be helping

i bet the wiegts a throwing a wobbly in side the dizzy !

It's not the auto choke as it hasn't got one, next plan is too take the dizzy apart

check all your leads, had this on my 1.2 never actually found the cause but all i did was check over leads/dizzy/coil etc. and put it back together and it ran fine and never had a problem since :tard:

I had something similar when the coil was getting too warm, also something similar when the coil wasn't getting a good enough earth when connected to the inner wing, I just gave the wing a good clean up and also the bracket around the coil and then mine ran miles better.

This sounds ridiculous and probably not the problem but the fuel gauge in my old mk2 golf stopped working on about 1/4 tank and stayed there, Needless to say I ran out of fuel and same symptoms, It sounds stupid but check theres fuel in there!
