I dropped sealant (or could have been no more nails, can't rememeber) ages ago on a car seat and obviously now it has dried, is there anyway of removing it, ie white spirits or something that won't damage the material?

Thanks

I would strip the seat down and put the cover in the freezer then it might peel off

Depends how deep into the material it is

Would go using anything with the material still on the seat as what ever you might use could ruin the foam base

it's on a bucket seat so as far as i can see the material doesn't come off? I may need to investigate it further though to be sure

Screwfix sells a silicone sealant remover that desolves silicone so might be worth a look but check it on an unseen part incase it ****s the seat

I've heard EVO Sticks supposed to be pretty good on carpets, one of my mates is a painter and decorator so has used this a few times. CLICKYME (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Evo-Stik-191-Adhesive-Cleaner/dp/B0001P03M4) ;)

Unbeleiveably (or whohever it is spelt) this worked a treat, put the vingar on and basically the sealant broke up and came off completely with a gentle rub with a key, Thanks for a the great tip!
