ive just finished putting an xein the nova. but it tick over fast. about 1800 rpm...

and when i drive it and come to a top the revs dont go down as fast as they should

any ideas?

its a late type (i think) if it makes any difference.

i do have a plug of on the back of the inlet that i cant find were it goes :S

could be a sticking idle control valve, or maybe thats what the plug is for!

had an xe nova ticking over at 3000rpm not long back, cleaned the idle valve out runs like a dream now!

if it isnt the idle control valve then look for air leaks

Just take off the ICV, carb clean is your friend.

What happens when you unplug the cuts two pin, that make it idle higher, you probably have a break in a wire somewhere.
