Hi im looking to upgrade the front brakes and im stuck which to choose 256mm or 288mm?Ive heard you can get a spongey pedal feel from v6 calipers is this a major issue and is there anythin to reduce this?Is there a massive difference between the two?Any help would be great. Thanks

What spec is the rest of the car? if your running a lighter small block engine then going over 256mm brakes is probably overkill, they work really well. I was thinking of buying even better spec brakes for my 1.3, but thought better of it as the 256mm calipers are that good, especially when combined with quality tyres. If you've got a 2.0 engine conversion and a ton of speakers or some other weight addition then perhaps 288 will suit, they are heavier calipers (and discs) so add unsprung weight, so more isn't always better.
