hey guys, had my red gte back on the dyno today with a few mates. was meant to be taking my blue on but hasnt been run in etc etc.

some of you may know i had it dyno'd a few months ago which made this printout.

92bhp and 88lb/ft, quite genuine read outs id say.

only major thing thats been changed is an enlarged throttle body (55mm to 59mm), it has had minute changes to ignition timing etc.

it made similar bhp of 92. but the torque is 30lb/ft more than what it was. other cars were similar up on torque figues so dont think thats quite right.

what you reckon?

Where did you take it in to be dyno`d bruce? Was it in the leominster area? I am from leominster aswell .Good numbers by the way.

Thats a massive hike in torque from those mods. (which IMO would result in BHP top end increase anyway)

Don't sound right to me, my 1.4tdi is only 140lb/ft !

Don't take me for gospel though...

calibration is out by about 250RPM, I'd say they have an issue which is causing the dyno to over-read, and they're fixing it by knocking a % off the speed calibration.

If you look at the run down losses they're about 5-10bhp higher on your 2nd run, which is probably where their issue is.

edit: In fact for some reason they've changed their roller inertia setting between the 2 runs, which will be why it's all a bit skewed.

Hotter ambient ;) they have their temp adjustment tables setup wrong to be happy rollers.

When I get my car back I want to take it to a rolling road, so were are the these elusive trusted 100% right rollers found lol

Track and Road in Essex, and JAM's 2wd rollers (not been on the 4wd ones)

Thats IT end of story. There used to be 3 sets but Velos retired.
Oh and my ass dyno is pretty accurate to 800bhp.

mystery solved, the torque on my second one is NM and the first lb/ft. conversion of NM to lb/ft makes it 2lb/ft more. so in fairness accurate to the original run.
