Hi
As per the title Im fitting some twin 40 carbs to my Mk1 snowplough SR.

We've got them on but it clear I need to change/modify the alternator bracket and the manifold is squashing a coolant pipe underneath. Can I buy modified bits off the shelf to fix this? Any other bits I will need to replace/modify whilst I'm at it?

All help/pics/advice/guidance appreciated :thumb:

You can buy an alternator lowering bracket, also needs a new belt

Brackets sometimes come up on fleabay.

Wanted advert may get you one

I'll try and get a photo of one for you later

Have you already got a suitable throttle cable too?
Nobody seems to sell new suitable hoses specifically for the twin40 set up, it seems most people are still using the original ones from the sport pack.

No I havent actually thats a good point.

Can they just be bought from a carb supplier or even Vauxhall? Suppose we could fashion something up out of parts but much easier to buy one of course.
