I'm seriously thinking about fitting an alternator on my Nova (currently using Total Loss electrics) due to lots of issues with batteries.

So, I'd be interested to see/hear about other peoples alternator installations on track/race cars, specifically on small block engines.

I'm only interested in lightweight custom installs, standard systems won't be any good for me!

Thanks.

mazz is running a kubota mini tractor one.

investigate motorbike ones....there are some tiny ones but making them fit on somewhere is a bit odd...

Thanks, looks like one of the Denso ones will be my best bet, much like SBD use in their kits. They seem to be about £100 new on EBAY.

I will have to get a new crank pulley machined up to run the belt though.
