its the equivalent of taking a tuned 1600 engine - such as Dans or Jims and fitting it to a small childs tricycle, thats what it is!
Metro - weighs nothing, strip it out and wedge a v6 in it
aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhh!!!! :D :D :D :D :D OMG A CORNER!!! :o :o :o :o
um its actually more like 400bhp

if it'll go in a metro it'll go in a nova!!
Err - Technicality - It's a metro 6R4 - full rally spec was 2.8 litre, since ban on such cars the 6r4's were reduced to 2.5 litre to still be able to rally. I should know, I have co-driven one and we be rallying against 2 this weekend. Oh if you want a small shock, full rally prepared version in good condition will cost you in the region of ?70000, and no I have not added one to many zero's.
WOW pretty expensive for a Metro lol
Lol no s**t!
i wouldnt pay that 4 a metro lol
Imagine this,
"wot car do u drive?"
"oh, just a metro"
"can u pick me up 1 day id like 2 c more of u"
"Yeah no probs wer do u wanna go?"
"i dnt mind"
" well i cant put shopping in the boot!"
"Y is that?"
"Muhahahahaha  "
What get's me is why they did not put it into production, just think of it, all those grannies with their one owner, always garaged metro 6r4.
See her in the street, will you take ?100 for her, I need a car to get me to work.
Oh time to take my medicine again. lol

I'd love to see what it would do on a drag strip!!
The lancia Delta S4 of the same year and purpose wud be alot more impresvie cus they r bi-charged, they have a supercharger and turbo charger and wud out accelerate f1 cars on tarmac when the rally cars were on gravel just fcuk mental  Bring back group B rallying wud be alot more fun to watch and see what peugeot, subaru etc cud produce with no limits.

lol, that pic was taken on saturday at the new brighton rally. there were four (i think) metro 6r4's there. the one that won whooped an ex peter solberg impreza by a mile. these things are unbelievably fast (and noisy lmao). i got loads of pics from the day will post a few up tommorow (off to bed now lol). even caught a few short videos of them in action on my digi cam but don't know how to load them up for people to see :(
(got a short vid of the bat motorsport corsa pulling away from an escort cosworth lol)
The group B cars wern't the problem the dodgy latino crowds kept getting themselves killed :S
?70k isnt too bad, theyre not just a 'gay metro' these things were designed by Williams

the fact they are in a metro shell is really. could be any small car.
um its actually more like 400bhp
when they first came out in the mid 80's they had 250bhp.
only on the later models did they have 400bhp
The 'clubman' and 'international' cars are way different specs
i think they used a meastro floor pan :? but ain't positive on that.
Not much metro apart from the shape
Just called it a metro for homologation purposes
Panels are different, and not even the shell is the same.
It is a normally aspirated jaguar Xj220 lump.
Mental.
