Best Oil for 1.6 8V Nova

So iv just rebuilt my 1.6 8V E16SE engine. Running on twin 40's with kent cam and a slight overbore. The engines going to be used for fast road/track day. can anyone suggest the best oil to use? ?

Vaux semi synth, or any old crap really.

I've found the Mobil 1 Motorsport oil very good. Use it my rally car, it brough the oil pressure up a tad when really hot as well. Available in Halfords too, but you can find cheaper on ebay unless there is a promotion on.

I caveat my 'any old crap' with, except for Mobil 1 its just a con/poo.

would 10w40 be the best choice? i have heard of people using 15w50 saying they get better pressure when the engines up to temp!

I found the above to be true on my 2.0 16v OllieKing. Valvoline 15w50 ended up only a few quid more than Vauxhall 10w40 semi on trade club pricing.
